Usually I simply ignore first symptoms, but when it's getting worse have to think of ways to treat and usualy eat some medicine. I know little about it. Can anyone explain me the difference between symptoms of the flu and cold?
I think one difference is the body temperature. If you catch the flu you usually get high fever and feel more knocked out. I'm not sure if there is a easy way to know the difference in the beginning when you start to feel sick. Does anyone else know more about this?
A doctor will easily identify the flu I think. There must be a number of special symptoms of the flu which are most common.

Re: How to know if I catch a cold or the flu?
With a cold you can fuction. With the flu you have temps. and chills and very weak. I had the flu two years ago and didn't have any cold symptoms, I ran a temp and got the chills so bad it made my body sore from shaking so hard...went to doctor they told me I had the Flu....I thought it was strange because I wasnt coughing or had a sore throat or anything just temp and chills. Weird!

I very rarely get a cold or flu due to the health and nutrition products my wife and I take.

Caughing in the later stages of influenza is actually the virus fleeing the host as the immune system begins to develop an immunity to the virus.
